Thank you all for your continued prayers for our visas for Taiwan. This process has proved to be especially complex with coronavirus restrictions in place currently in Taiwan. In our last prayer letter, I reported that we had been given a green light to apply for Anny Grace and Abraham’s visas very soon. A few days later, however, I received an email from the Taiwan office in Atlanta that included an apology. They explained that they had given me the wrong information and that we would have to wait for the coronavirus situation in Taiwan to improve before proceeding with their applications.
We trust that this news didn’t catch the Lord by surprise, and we are now waiting for things to improve in Taiwan. Currently, they have said that they will not accept new visa applications until after Monday, July 26th. I plan to contact them the week prior to schedule an appointment to submit their applications the last week of July. Please pray that this date will not be pushed back again and that the applications could be submitted quickly and smoothly that week. The Lord is able!
The Lord has recently blessed with an opportunity to preach chapel and teach a class at the Our Generation Training Center. It is always a joy and privilege to spend time with the students here as they prepare to become church planting missionaries. Please pray that the Lord would work in their lives and use them mightily in the fields He sends them to one day.
As I mentioned last month, we and other missionaries on our Vision for China team have been praying specifically for God to call seven new missionaries to surrender to go to China/Taiwan with the gospel. Please continue to pray with us for these new laborers!

In one of the more recent episodes of the A Thousand Lives Broadcast, I was privileged to interview the Vision For China team’s very own missionary, Ty Pepperdine! Hear Ty’s heart to see the Chinese people reached with the gospel as he and his wife gear up to leave for the field very very soon! Listen in to my interview with Tynow!
In another recent episode, we dived into the idea of “withness” and took a look at the life of William Burns and his relationship with Young Hudson Taylor. The Young Hudson learned much from the senior missionary that he carried with him for the rest of his missionary service! Listen in to “Young Hudson, Mr. Burns, and the ‘Withness’ to Make a Missionary”now!
