We are excited to announce that we are a few more steps further along applying for our visas! As of the writing of this letter, I received my visa for Taiwan just a couple of weeks ago! Currently, I am in Taiwan while Anny Grace and Abraham are staying back in the United States (they still do not have visas) and am converting my visa to an “Alien Resident Card”. Lord willing, in just a few short days I will have this card in hand and will be able to then fly back to the United States and use it as the final piece needed to apply for Anny Grace’s and Abraham’s visas. Lord willing, we are just a couple of more months away from arriving in Taiwan and beginning to serve here as a family! Thank you for joining us in praying for this visa process to go quickly and smoothly! The Lord is continuing to bless and guide our steps toward the field, and we praise His name for His faithfulness!
Over the last month, I’ve been blessed with a couple of more opportunities to teach classes at the Our Generation Training Center, one of which was an overview of Chinese missions history. It was both exciting and challenging the consider many of the great missionaries of the past that the Lord has used to penetrate China with the good news of Jesus Christ. The Lord used Hudson Taylor and the China Inland Mission to challenge and send forth hundreds of missionaries into China to preach. Please join us in asking the Lord to raise up hundreds of more missionaries in this generation who will surrender their lives to boldly exalt Christ and start churches in China before the Lord’s return!
Prayer Requests & Praises
Praise — Austin has received a visa for Taiwan!
Pray that my residency application would go smoothly.
Pray that Anny Grace and Abraham’s applications can be applied for and processed smoothly.
Pray that the Lord would continue to raise up and send forth more laborers into His harvest field.
Then on a more personal note, hear how the Chinese pastor who baptized Anny Grace navigated the persecution of 1960s China. “The Original Chinese Bible Smuggler” provides a unique look into Christian living in the early days of Communist China that is equal parts peculiar and fascinating.
