“And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD’s offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.”
The Lord commanded through Moses that those with a willing heart bring an offering to Him to make the tabernacle, ark, and other things He commanded (35:4-19). Then they came bringing the offering commanded with a willing spirit. They did not bring the offering out of compulsion, but cheerfully.
Lord, help me to take the people of Israel as an example. May I give to You and Your work of getting the gospel around the world with a willing spirit. May I give as my heart stirs me up out of love for You, and not out of compulsion. I love You, Lord. May my offerings reflect that.
