Weekly Devotion: Numbers 7:89

“And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.”

Despite the sinfulness of Moses, despite the sinfulness of the priests, and despite the sinfulness of Israel, the Lord is a God of mercy who spoke with them from off the mercy seat. God, though holy and hating sin, is also full of mercy and prescribed offerings for the people to offer Him. While these offerings cannot take away sin, they point to the One Sacrifice that would die for the sins of the world and extend His mercy around the globe.

Lord, thank You for Your mercy toward us. Thank You that You made a way for us to commune with You, to hear from You. Thank You for Your Son, Jesus Christ, and the mercy that we have found in Him. Help me to proclaim that mercy around the world. Amen.

The Dalian Initiative: Dalian Pastor’s Fund

The Dalian Pastor’s Fund is an opportunity to directly support Chinese pastors or pastors in training. Pastoring in China is especially hard because of persecution against the church from the State. These pastors are serving in underground church capacities which makes it hard for these local churches to fully support them on a consistent basis. This is where The Dalian Pastor’s Fund can be a help and encouragement to these men of God and their families as they serve on the frontlines in their home country.

This fund supports pastors or pastors in training who are being influenced and trained by the ministry established in Dalian, which is one of the ministries of our team, Vision For China.

  • 100% of your financial gifts are used for Chinese pastors.
  • 100% of your financial gifts are tax deductible.
  • It helps alleviate the financial stress of being a pastor in Communist China.
  • It encourages those who have faced or will possibly face persecution.

Currently, we are able to help support 2 Chinese pastors or pastors in training.

Weekly Devotion: Matthew 28:18-20

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Jesus commissions His disciples to teach, baptize, and teach the nations His Word. He tells them he has all power in heaven and in earth and that He will be with them always. This is Jesus’ command to all those that believe in Him.

Lord, you have commissioned Your people to take the message of the gospel to all nations. Thank You for saving me and allowing me to be a part of this commission. Please use me to get the message out to the lost of this world so that they can be saved. Thank You for being with me always. I love You, Lord.
