Four Great Inventions: Papermaking

Back around the time of Christ, the Chinese were busy developing a thin material that could be used to write, print, and package. After a good deal of trial and error, paper as we know it was invented.

While paper in modern times is of course made in industrial quantities by machine, the paper of yesteryear was made by hand – individual sheet by individual sheet.

As it became more widespread, the Chinese found other uses for paper such as making tea bags and paper money.

So the next time you enjoy a glass of tea or make a purchase with paper money, please remember to pray for China!
