“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”
Christ, who alone can open and shut doors, gives the church in Philadelphia an open door before them to advance the gospel. He gives them this open door because they have a little strength, kept His Word, and did not deny His name.
Lord, thank You for using Your people to advance the gospel. Thank You for using me to get Your gospel around the world. Give me eyes of faith the see the doors that You have opened up around me to tell more people about Christ and His salvation. Thank You that You are made strong in my weakness (little strength). Help me to abide in Your Word and not deny Your Name so that I may be used of You.
