“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
We who are saved are crucified with Christ. Our old man is crucified with Him (Romans 6:6). We are a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). That new creature is what lives. Yet, it’s not us, but Christ that lives in us. The life which we now live in the flesh we live by faith in Jesus Christ, who loved us and gave Himself for us.
Lord, thank You that my old man is crucified with Christ and is dead. Thank You that Christ now lives in me. Thank You for the new life that I have in Christ – Him living in me. Thank You that because of Jesus I can live by faith in Him. Lord, thank You for saving me and working in my life. Thank You for my identity in Christ.
