“And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem. Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
A prophet came to Paul and his company to tell him that he would be bound in Jerusalem by Jews and delivered into the hands of the Gentiles. When Paul’s company hears it, they urge him not to go up to Jerusalem anymore. Paul, however, says that he is ready to die at Jerusalem for the name of Jesus.
I want to be like Paul. I want to be willing not to just be bound only, not just to face a little persecution only, but also to die for the name of the Lord Jesus. His name is worth dying for! Make me a bold witness for You, Lord!
